What type of mulch is right?
There are many types of mulch. The most common is the double shredded hardwood mulch in brown or dyed black. The added color further enhances a landscape and lasts longer. However, there are other colors available and it is a matter of taste and what works best in your beds based on the grade of your property. For instance, shredded mulches work best on slopes and pine nuggets should be used in flat or contained areas. For play areas we recommend clean playground safe woodchips.
